That State Farm Ad That Made You Cry

If you have a TV or access to the internet, you have probably seen the latest ad for State Farm’s CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) project: Neighborhood of Good. It’s the one with the guy that carries the weight of the world—the needs and causes that haunt us all—like a slipstream behind him, all beneath the heavy-breathed words of Joy Williams covering The Chainsmokers’ “Don’t Let Me Down.” It’s pretty freaking amazing.

We feel that a company using their platform to promote positive humanity and empathetic action should be acknowledged. They didn’t have to do that. There are easier roads to take. Frankly, we don’t really care who you choose for your insurance company, but credit should be given where it is due, and if you choose to give said credit with your pocketbook, then you do you—and even more importantly, do some good.
